We Feed LA is thought in action. We all want to be loved. We all want to be happy. We all want to be cared for. We think to ourselves at times that we could do something to be a part of the solution. We all want to be the heroes we seek. We are.
Our goal is to affect our community by taking part in such a great opportunity to simply donate a meal that we cooked, or some blankets we were going to throw away. We all want to step up and take part in something that helps others but we feel like we’re too busy. What is it for? Why would I do it?
We make it easy. We do it because the feeling of taking part in a simple community effort for a couple of hours a handful of times a year is illuminatingly invaluable to our own human condition as much as it is to those in need we reach that day.
We don’t want your money. We don’t accept it! We want you to listen to your heart and get in to your own action, we want you to feel what it feels like to work together with your community giving freely with no expectation.
That’s what WE want.
